Role: Statistical Programmer & Analyst Manager (SPAM)
Reports to: Deputy Global Head of Oncology Statistical Programming and Analysis

As the Manager of the Statistical Programming & Analysis (SPAM) you will have people management responsibilities and be accountable for setting up and execution of analytical strategy of molecule and disease level as well as completion of the analytical products on the assigned project(s) in a timely manner. You will also deliver solutions to Biometrics and SPA on global non-molecular initiatives.
Bachelor or advanced degree in data science, statistics, biological sciences, computer science or other equivalent quantitative discipline and experience. At least 6 years or equivalent of programming experience and 1-2 years in team development comprised of quantitative analysts. Knowledge and experience with international clinical research and drug development preferred.
You will lead the statistical programming support on a defined portfolio of clinical projects, including resource planning and effective implementation
You will be responsible for understanding, providing input on and disseminating global strategy; recommending process improvements and providing leadership on programming & analytical software solutions.
You will monitor objectives, standards, deadlines and other requirements with respect to specifications, development, quality assurance and delivery are attained in accordance with applicable processes and ensure decision-making authority is consistently delegated.
You will establish and maintain effective interfaces and close collaborations with internal and external peers, partners and stakeholders; ensure effective coordination and communication
You will assist with the establishment and cultivation of innovation and continuous process/efficiency improvement among analytical groups within and outside of Biometrics
You will lead activities and knowledge sharing to improve and maintain the quality of processes and deliverables.
People Development and Management
You will recruit and retain talent, coach, mentor in order for your team to be inspired, motivated and attain objectives and project deliverables
You will actively participate in career development efforts with direct reports
Advanced use and understanding of analytical tools & products (such as R, SAS, Spotfire)
Understanding of data collection and database concepts including data flows in clinical trials as well as Pharma industry data standards, such as CDISC/SDTM and ADaM data models. Experience in leading and driving the implementation of new data and analysis standards according to F.A.I.R. principles
Broad knowledge of drug development process in particular on collection, storing, processing and analysis of clinical trial data, including biomarker, -omic and digital health data, and technologies.
In-depth knowledge of GCP, international regulations, guidelines and their application to global drug development; advanced use and understanding of applied statistical methods and multiple analytical software & tools; up to date with relevant analytical solution trends across industries;
Excellent leadership skills, demonstrated ability to build effective, collaborative teams in a global setting
Excellent planning, organizational and analytic abilities, manages multiple tasks. Ability to identify and resolve critical issues and to assess the impact of decisions.
Excellent communication skills and Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate corporate strategies within and across functions
Ability to communicate insights from exploratory analysis and influence analytical strategy
Comfortable interacting with many levels of management across multiple functions; Able to build strong working relationships with appropriate personnel in other functional groups within and outside of the Biometrics organization
Experience leading projects and able to motivate others, especially without formal authority over them
