What You'll Do
The Services Consulting Engineer (SCE) is responsible for the support and delivery of services for Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) Customers. In that position you will perform and drive architectural, design and integration engineering for complex network infrastructure solutions. CX SCEs assist customers with tool selection and advice about strategic direction including tools and network management systems. SCEs identify and document network/security design and architecture best practices.
CX SCEs align and drive work and initiatives with the focus on customer's business strategy, objectives and outcomes. On a quarterly basis, SCEs are expected to present overall status of projects and deliverables as part of the Quarterly Business Review meetings. SCEs will demonstrate and generate applicable technical, standard methodologies, and white papers.
SCEs have the responsibility for driving regional CX projects and customer requested project initiatives. They will actively lead complex datacenter, network, security, and collaboration design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects. SCEs solve complex, multi-functional technical issues that cross boundaries over many disparate products and technologies.

Other Objectives:
Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex datacenter, networking, security, or NFVI problems
Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve problems and compatibility issues
Work with other specialists in Virtual Teams
Provide customized and ad hoc systems/product training
Generate reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer work
Act as the technical specialist for complex deployments
 
Who You'll Work With
The EMEAR CX Architectures Team helps customers optimize their network investment and speed adoption and migration of advanced technologies. We are part of a worldwide organization within Cisco CX that provides Cisco's customers and partners with a suite of professional engineering support offerings to achieve a high-performance network for the next generation of network applications. This position will focus on the European market, covering mainly  Switzerland.

Who You Are 
5+ years relevant experience in enterprise or service provider network engineering.
have a deep understanding of key technologies and protocols in data networks within the CAN, WAN, ACI datacenter and related security technologies.
Openstack experienced
Can create scripts and automation preferebly using Python, Ansible
In-depth knowledge of designing and optimizing complex network solutions.
In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability, and capacity management.
Comprehensive understanding of all IP protocol.
Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE)® or equivalent skills - Data Center is advantage
Strong operational and consultancy experience.
Proven communication skills including also presenting to senior management.
Ability to conduct group training and one to one mentoring concerning routing, switching and datacenter technology.
Typically requires BS, CS, University degree or equivalent plus 5 years’ experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
You are willing to travel up to 50%.
You are fluent in English spoken and written and have some German language knowledge.
