Submissions without a portfolio included will not be considered. At Google, Visual Designers weave iconography, typography, color, space and texture together to help our users successfully navigate our products. We believe that all of our products should be beautiful and accessible. As a Visual Designer, you’ll delight users with designs that inspire, engage and excite them. You’ll rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals—from concept to execution—across many platforms. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your fellow designers to constantly refine the Google design language and create innovative, great-looking products that people love to use.

The Travel UX team works across a broad range of products, such as Flights, Hotels, Google's Trips App, Destinations, and a new experience bringing the different products together in a consistent and cohesive interface to support trip planning end-to-end. Our goal is to deliver a delightful and focused user experience throughout the entire process and across different touch points.

In this role, you'll drive art direction and consistency across these touch points, ensuring that we deliver an excellent user interface across surfaces and formats, working in close collaboration with design leads for a variety of individual products.

Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising & Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if, and only if, that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use AdWords to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We build and maintain the platforms that have made Google what it is today, and are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow.Responsibilities
