The Roche Innovation Center Zurich (Roche Glycart AG) is active in the research and development of engineered therapeutic antibodies, with a focus on the fields of cancer immunotherapy and immunotherapy in general. Part of the Roche Group since 2005, it employs about 130 people.

In the context of Roche Postdoctoral Fellowship program we are looking for scientist focusing on imaging of cancer immuno-therapeutics using multiplexed confocal microscopy of whole tumor sample and advance data analysis tools.
The Roche Postdoctoral Fellowship (RPF) program is aimed at supporting excellent young scientists focusing on collaborative R&D projects between Roche and international academic institutions. Both internal Roche and academic experts will mentor you, and you will be based mainly at Roche Innovation Centre Zurich, Switzerland. The Preclinical Imaging Group is part of the Pharmacology Department, focused on the imaging of cancer immuno-therapeutics. We are now looking for an extraordinary, highly motivated, and talented Postdoc to join our international team in an outstanding and competitive scientific environment. In this position you will:
Experience in using confocal microscopy techniques. The candidate will be responsible in further develop multiplex panels for staining tumor samples to evaluate the MoA of several therapeutics agents and description of innovative preclinical in vivo models
Have a strong experience in digitalization and analysis of high dimensional imaging data. The candidate will be responsible for processing multiplex confocal images and apply several multidimensional analyses to identify pattern and specific MoA. Experience with Machine learning and programming is a plus
Have a strong understanding and track record of immunology/biology. Experience in the field of tumor immunology is a plus

We are seeking a highly motivated immunologist, who possess strong experience in optical imaging of immune cells, excellent communication skills, enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams and does not bring more than 4 years of work experience after graduation.
A PhD in system biology, biology, immunology or related field
Sound knowledge of microscopy and image analysis
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, team player
A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility and capacity to independently setup and conduct experiments
A substantial track record of scientific publications as journal articles and conference talks
Interest on working in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment, skills required to perform optimally in the imaging team
A dedicated hands-on attitude and curiosity to establish innovative imaging assays and analysis workstream
Fluency in spoken and written English
