We have a fantastic and challenging opportunity to fully combine your recruiting or headhunting skills and Pharmaceutical experience to seek, attract and bring in the very best talent into Roche. This with the focus to support the significant demand for talent within our Roche Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED) and Product Development (PD) organisation, now, and in the future.
As Talent Scout you will be part of the Basel Talent Acquisition team, a group of highly skilled professionals within the Roche headquarter Recruitment Center of Excellence.
In this highly strategic and challenging role your focus will be on the following core activities and responsibilities:
Building highly effective business relationships with senior managers, recruiters and HR Business Partners to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the pRED/PD business and its current and future needs
Identifying potential candidates meeting these needs, by utilizing all available candidate sources globally (Roche candidate pool, Web 2.0, conferences, etc.)
Actively contacting potential candidates (typically via telephone or email) and assessing their availability and suitability for current or future positions at Roche by conducting recruitment interviews
Manage relationships with potential candidates, nurture their interest and negotiate their successful move to Roche
Creation and implementation of innovative methods to source and attract the right people
Be active part of the global team of Roche Group Talent Scouts

To be successful in this role and our team, you will have extensive knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical industry together with proven success as a recruiter or ‘headhunter’ within this same arena, ideally with a focus on Pharma Research & Development.
You have expertise in building and maintaining relationships with the right talent, sourcing, screening and recruiting talent whilst displaying a proactive, tenacious and innovative approach to finding the right candidate.
First class communication and interpersonal skills are required as you network and build long term relationships with both internal and external individuals, often at a very senior level. You are able to work under pressure, and to meet targets and budgets. You have high influential skills and are an excellent negotiator. The ability to work effectively within international and cross-divisional teams is one of your assets.
Furthermore, you possess the following experiences and competencies:
Ideally you have a scientific educational background such as a Master or PhD in natural sciences, chemistry or similar
Work experience in a multinational matrix organisation is an asset
You have a growth mindset and openness to learn new things
Strategic agility
Fluent English business language skills are required
