Minimum qualifications:

Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with advanced digital clients and startups across all development stages.
Demonstrated record of effective sales or consulting, and operations management and strategic planning. Demonstrated record of leading sales teams and other managers effectively.
Deep knowledge of the online advertising industry and Google product/solutions.
Established presence in a regional marketplace with a strong network.
About the job
In this role, you will develop the vision and manage the sales strategies that will fully unlock the potential for Pure Play business models. You will manage a complex portfolio of global clients, which requires collaboration with global business partners internally and externally. You will build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients and relevant agency contacts. You will also promote Google at targeted meetings, events and conferences. Understanding the roles within your team and as a people manager you will provide team development, guidance, feedback and motivation, developing a deep understanding of the business needs of advertisers and customers. As part of the German leadership team, you will bring your in-depth industry, management and sales experience to this group whilst driving cross-team initiatives.
You'll work with customers to help them make the most of the web and grow their business with Google, while managing the most senior customer relationships in the category. You'll lead a direct team of Industry Managers and Analysts, and an extended virtual team of Account Managers. In addition, you'll work collaboratively to develop the vision and strategy for the pod, inspiring the team and partner teams to deliver.
Additionally you will oversee the development of a team to redefine how Google provides the right level of support to develop the future phase of growth customers for the German digital economy.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Build and grow relationships with senior-level clients and relevant agency contacts. Develop a deep understanding of the business and marketing strategies and needs of customers.
Develop the vision and manage the business and account strategies. Act as a thought-leader to pure play business model ecosystem.
Advocate for digital, innovation, and Google at events, conferences and media opportunities. Represent Google as an ambassador for community and industry engagement with keynotes, panel discussions and active roles in key associations.
Inspire, lead and manage a cross-functional, cross-location team consisting of Industry Managers, Account Managers and Analytical consultants. Provide leadership and direction, coaching, guidance, feedback and motivation.
Discover and cultivate new business opportunities and drive business growth. Contribute to the overall business strategy, act as a key part of the country management team, and lead appropriate cross-sector initiatives.
