About the Role: For our dynamically growing production site in Burgkirchen we are looking for a PhD polymer chemist or an experienced Chemical Engineer to drive and own various polymerization processes as a Process Engineer – willing to take initiative and with a sense of practical, long-term-oriented solutions. In this role you will establish a deep understanding of the polymerization process to develop new products and ensure high quality manufacturing processes. 


Responsibilities:

- Establishing effective and stable process parameters and supporting flawless quality documentation
- Driving the continuous optimization of the manufacturing processes of fluoropolymers in collaboration with the production team through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Developing a deep understanding of the process impact on the product and optimizing the production equipment to create new or better functionality in collaboration with the engineering team
- Contribution to the development and commercialization of new products, including transferring R&D processes to production.  
- Partnering with cross-functional and global teams, both as a team member and a project champion
- Contributing to the further development of this recently started plant and shaping your work environment


Qualifications:

- A PhD in polymer chemistry, or a master's degree in engineering with at least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Technical knowledge in the area of polymerization; ideally radical polymerization, emulsion polymerization, or polymer analytics
- Willing to take initiative and able to flourish in a quickly changing environment
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive and influence
- Very good communication and organizational skills with strong team-player qualities
- Fluent communication in German and English
