What you’ll be doing...
The Security Solutions Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of specialized consultants to drive double digit growth in our security sales and revenues across their assigned region. As leader for the region you will be responsible for shaping regional security sales strategy to drive targeted results and this will be done in collaboration with the Verizon sales, consulting and delivery leadership team in region.
This is a leadership role that requires little supervision and works directly with assigned teams to drive revenue and new business on behalf of Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
The Manager must meet or exceed established sales plans on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis. Must work with all team members to delivery an accurate and timely sales forecast and must target obtaining, plus or minus 10%, accuracy on their overall funnel on those deals that are forecasted within a commitment month.
The role requires strong monitoring, coaching and intervention where necessary to ensure your individuals have the activity, skills, resources, training and behavior that will enable them to meet their individual targets and be successful, high performing contributors.
The Manager develops a method for their assigned team to carry out proper follow-up with account teams, sales managers, and directors. Frequent and consistent communication between direct reports, directors, assigned account teams and branch management is required.
Effectively manages communication and administrative activities through the delivery of high quality and informative content for reports, deals or specific updates requested by management.
It will be required to make staffing decisions, performance management, employee development, based on staff interaction and feedback from customers and account teams.
You will need to understand and interact with your key clients and prospects in the region to ensure we are maximising our relationship and deal with escalations when these arise for your client base.
The role will require managing the business stakeholders for the region to ensuring marketing plans are in place and being executed against for your business and that we are developing our relevance to the market and are connected and attending key events and involved in key market activities to keep Verizon relevant and at the forefront.
The Manager must challenge the team members to think creatively and should work with them to develop their own leadership qualities. They should provide direction on developing self-improvement for assigned team members.
What we’re looking for...
We are looking for solid experience of selling complex and integrated security solutions, with the accent on consultative sales. You’ll need a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets as well as demonstrable segment security expertise and insight. High levels of self-motivation, and the ability to lead and influence others, plus C-level relationship management, prioritizing, presentation and negotiation skills are expected. A degree-level education or equivalent is preferred.
