Senior Software Designer m/f for IIOT research projects - 00480Y
 
We are looking for an experienced Software Designer for our Innovation & Technology center in 97828 Marktheidenfeld/Germany in the region of Wuerzburg / Aschaffenburg.
As an expert in automation architectures, you will define, coordinate and realize innovation projects and thereby shape the future of the ongoing industrial revolution (Industry 4.0).
Your tasks include the specification of re-usable software modules that provide the base for the new intelligent products of the future. Additionally, you will act as a representative of Schneider Electric in the respective standardization bodies.

Your tasks - versatile
You design innovative concepts, processes and products for our automation system
You plan and conduct feasibility studies
You identify new opportunities and current developments in the technology sector (technology monitoring) including fast prototyping
You define future scenarios based on customer requirements
During the predevelopment phase you design, coordinate and realize transversal software architecture projects
Taking technological aspects into account you specify re-usable software modules for automation architectures  
Participation in external standardization bodies (e.g. Platform Industrie 4.0, FDT group)
 
Your profile - qualified
You have completed your studies (bachelor, master, diploma) in computer science / informatics or electrical engineering with a strong focus on software design
You have excellent knowledge in software architecture and software design
Strong expertise in defining interfaces and integration technologies for software
Know-how regarding computer based software architectures
You are experienced in different programming languages such as C#, .Net and Microsoft programming
Ideally you have skills in automation engineering including device integration in software modules (e.g. FDT/DTM, FDI) as well as knowledge of industrial communication systems (z.B. EtherNet/IP, Sercos)
Preferably you acquired knowledge in SPS programming languages (e.g. IEC61131) as well as in mobile applications
You have a very good command of English and enjoy working in an international and multicultural environment
