Job profile:

“Pioneer” is the name of Hempel’s new Global Graduate Programme. One of the 16 exciting positions is based within Sales & Marketing in J.W. Ostendorf GmbH & Co. KG in Coesfeld, Germany.


We are looking for a talented, ambitious and motivated Sales and/ or Marketing Graduate with a passion for branding, sales and market segmentation who can collaborate closely with our business teams to develop our sales & marketing expertise both regionally and globally.


The graduate programme will consist of three rotations of approximately six months each. The first rotation will be within Sales & Marketing at J.W. Ostendorf GmbH & Co. KG based in Germany where you will be anchored in Commercial, supporting the Sales & Marketing team. The second rotation will be aborad either at our headquarter in Lyngby, Denmark or in our sister company Crown Paints in Darwen, UK. The third rotation will be back in our Sales & Marketing team at J.W. Ostendorf GmbH & Co. KG.


Your intensive on-the-job experiences will be combined with face-to-face learning modules together with your fellow Pioneer Global Graduates from across regions and global functions. A Hempel senior executive will be assigned to you as your personal sponsor and you will undergo intensive personal development throughout the programme.


Location:

Your home base will be J.W. Ostendorf GmbH & Co. KG in Coesfeld, Germany. During your 18 month graduate period, you will be spending six months in Lyngby, approx. 6 miles north of Copenhagen, Denmark or in our sister company Crown Paints in Darwen, UK.


Key responsibilities:

The role will allow you to gain insight and experience across various Sales & Marketing topics within the business.

Participate in projects to develop our business and maximise the impact of our sales force while collaborating with regional Commercial Excellence and Sales Management

Business Development and Product & Category Management for Decorative Coatings

Development and execution of strategy/ business plans for the European market, ensuring sustainable growth

Gather and analyse market, competitive and customer data to identify business trends and opportunities

Optimisation of the product portfolio - ensuring right product mix of new and existing products, product positioning, competitiveness, strategic fit, design of product marketing strategies

Collaborate with Product & Category Management to provide market data and competitive intelligence for new product business cases

Preparing presentations and decision making material for executive management

Support global Sales and Marketing initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across regions and cultures


Qualifications and skills:

You must have completed your Masters’s degree in Sales and/or Marketing, International Management or a similar related degree, graduating in or by August 2019.

Internship experience in a commercial environment (Sales/Marketing) and/ or living, working or studying abroad will be an advantage.

Alternatively you have two years of fulltime working experience in Sales & Marketing within an international environment.

You are passionate about learning more about how to support a growing organisation towards reaching their strategic goals.

You know that your drive,dedication and engagement will support your aspirations to become an excellent leader and move into a management position at some point.

Fluent English knowledge is a mandatory requirement. German language skills are preferable.

You believe that inspiring confidence, being socially committed, connecting to customers and constantly challenging are key factors to successfully driving business results.
