What we are looking for
We are looking for a senior researcher to set up his or her own research group and carry out research in Positive Psychology, including fields such as personal strengths, health habits or forgiveness.
This work will be conducted as part of the new Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which was launched during the current academic year (2018-2019). As a lecturer, he or she will also teach subjects related to Social Psychology. The successful applicant is expected to establish his or her own research programme, collaborate with other group leaders and effectively contribute to the education of both undergraduate and graduate students.
To set up and lead a research group framed in the subject of Positive Psychology.
To teach classes related to Social Psychology in Spanish (Psicología Social, Psicología de los Grupos, Psicología de la Empresa y de las Organizaciones).
This is a tenure-track (4-year) position with a mid-term evaluation (depending on the applicant’s profile, the position may automatically become permanent).
The position will be based at UIC Barcelona, in the Department of Basic Sciences.

The candidate must have:
PhD in Psychology.
A minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral experience.
The following characteristics from the candidate’s CV will be assessed:
Essential knowledge and professional experience
An independent research track. Particular consideration will be given to applicants with valuable contributions in terms of scientific productivity.
Proven record of effective teaching would also be valued.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
