Job Description

Specific Responsibilities and skills: 

- Implements product promotional communication strategy for physician promotions ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.  Responsible for elaborating the Brand Business Plan.
- Essential Duties and Job Functions : • Leads Brand tactical plan development and implementation.
- Ensures marketing materials are cleared for promotional use and secures final production.
- Leverages primary and secondary market research and analytics critical to directing brand strategies and optimizing marketing tactics.
- Analyses complex problems and situations, provides logical recommendations and leads any required action planning.
- Sets priorities in circumstances of continued complex and conflicting requirements.
- Takes a lead role in representing company at professional events and promotes company products at such events.
- Ensures that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Lead the brand POA development and implementation processes, potentially presenting recommendations to executive leadership when relevant.
- Represents the department as a member of a cross-functional project team providing guidance, insight and recommendations relative to the goals and objectives of the Marketing function.
- Accountable for successful management of department projects with an ability to push a project to completion.
- Develops strategic marketing programs, determines metrics for program success, and evaluates performance against metrics.
- Defines operational plan for delivering against marketing strategy and drives implementation by engaging external agencies.
- Responsible for establishing superior working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other relevant stakeholders (eg. Payers, etc.) locally and nationally, which can influence prescribing policy/protocol position.
- Determines the types of market research tools best suited to provide meaningful data and presents the implications of market research results to senior management.
Reviews legal and regulatory guidelines of external agencies to conduct scenario planning for marketing objectives.
- Frequently interacts with other functions to optimize collaboration between the department and other groups. Independently makes evaluations of how the department can best support other groups.
- May participate in executive briefings with senior management regarding strategic goals and the process for delivering against those goals.
- May be viewed as a brand expert for a product and sought for advice.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

- In-depth knowledge and experience in Marketing in the Pharmaceuticals
- Extensive experience on Spanish Pharmaceutical Hospital market is key, preferentially with experience on recent product launches.
- Must possess excellent strategic thinking skills with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy.
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required.
- Recognized expertise in implementing a pharmaceutical communication plan including generating publications, organizing continuing medical education activities and advocacy development.
- Must be very familiar with industry trends and remain current with competitor’s resources and practices.
- Must have a successful record of developing external relationships leading to brand advocacy.
- Must have a track record of successful pharma/biotech patient/community marketing with an understanding of expense budget planning and tracking.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams or work groups
- Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to senior management and across functional areas.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines.
- Must possess sophisticated negotiating, influencing, project management and consulting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, highly competent presenter, able to gain credibility, engender trust and influence all levels, strong partnering skills, bias for action and tangible results
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and/or MBA or other advanced business degree are desired.
- Spanish and English fluent
