Additional information is available at and on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.About the OpportunityAbout the opportunityThe UX Director oversees the UX, visual design, and creative direction of the products being designed, contributes to the product strategy to help shape the future of the vision, and ensures the customer’s experience and needs are aligned with the solution.The UX Director will play an integral role within the agency leadership in a number of ways:Member of agency management team: providing general leadership to staff and driving growth & success of companyDiscipline Lead: establishing UX discipline approach, philosophy and overseeing discipline across US offices; Partner with international UX Leads in Barcelona and India to define overall approach and best practices and coordinate project staffingCreative Direction: provide creative direction on high profile accounts & new business pitchesDuties and Responsibilities:Mentor creative team: providing inspiration, support and guidance to develop their talent with a focus on career growth & professional developmentParticipate in business development: actively pitching new clients and representing DMI to prospects in new business meetingsHelping to develop our approach to client projects, from shaping the activities to creating estimates for proposalsCoordinate creative resources across multiple offices, working with local creative leadership in DC, Barcelona and IndiaProvide creative direction and oversight on high profile accounts, directing the creative team to produce work that maintains the agency’s standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability, while achieving the clients’ goalsStay on top of industry trends and promote innovative & creative solutionsCultivate relationships with new and existing clients.QualificationsEducation and Years of Experience:10+ years working with digital and integrated marketing/advertising, preferably in an agency settingSignificant experience across UX disciplines such as interaction design, UI design, graphic design, user research, information architecture, empathic design and multi-channel interactionUnderstanding of human-centered design, atomic design and mobile design principlesFluent use of Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, and related UX toolsImplementing of UI design leading practices for Responsive Web Design, reusable UI patterns, and intuitive and touch-friendly navigationMerging research findings, new ideas, creative innovation and industry-leading practicesStrong conceptual creative thinkingDemonstrated success in managing and mentoring a creative groupStrong leadership skillsExperienced presenterExperience in retail (AEM,Hybris, Salesforce, etc.), automotive, travel and hospitality desiredExperience working with Agile and Scrum teams is a bonusLocation: Arlington, VAWorking at DMIDMI is a diverse, prosperous and rewarding place to work.
