Description of the job
Following a recent reorganization within ATR Programs Office perimeter, a new service has been created to manage the end-to-end leadership on maintenance economics topics and to foster the DMC reduction program by identifying cost reduction strategies/actions.

In order to correctly sustain these initiative, ‘Maintenance Economics’ department is looking for an ‘alternant/e’ able to create a maintenance costs model to be applied on Heavy Checks starting from raw maintenance data, in order to understand/forecast/reduce associated costs.

Tasks & accountabilities
The selected resource will be dealing with technical/commercial maintenance data, mostly coming from MRO (Maintenance, Repairs & Overhaul) organizations. While a large amount of data are already available for this study, further data will be received regularly by ATR in the frame of a commercial agreement with a network of MROs.

These reports provide ATR with information about (a) time elapsed to perform scheduled maintenance tasks or to clear associated findings and (b) material (i.e. spares, consumables) used to dispatch the aircraft back to service.
This dataset defines the basic information to be taken into account to estimate the costs to perform Heavy Checks operations and to calculate how ageing factors affect maintenance operations and associated costs.

These studies will be summarized in a final report, which will be finally used by ATR to:
• Drive the development of a dedicated tool
• Feed the ATR costs projection model, for the common benefits of programs and marketing teams

Required skills
- BAC +4 or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or in a Business School
- Expected/desired skills:
* Basic knowledge of Maintenance Principles on Aviation
* Basic knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Programs
* Good knowledge of Excel and VBA highly desired
* Fluent in French, proficiency in English appreciated
* Sense of initiative, sense of autonomy, curiosity
