The Alstom PMO (Project Management Office) department has launched an innovative and ambitious transformation program called PM2020 to redefine Bids & Projects management landscape (processes, organization, people & skills, tools and data) to make ALSTOM more fluid, agile and project results oriented. The main objective is to define new customers-oriented Bids and Projects processes, addressing new way of working, delivering new financial outputs with business values.
The project is organized in three main pillars:
New Bid and Project Management Process definition
PMO Tools Roadmap evolution (Adaptation of existing tools and contribution to the definition of future tools in close collaboration with IS&T)
Deployment of the program within regional organization (change Management and Training)
In the context of PMO Tools Roadmap evolution the PM2020 Data Management is the PMO Business Process Owner and interface between the Business (PMO), Alstom IT and external Editor suppliers (designing the digital solutions).
Directly reporting to PMO BI and Transformation Manager, his/her main mission will be to support the team in charge of digital tools implementation for PM2020 project as well as implement Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools. Appetite for Big Data, Analytics & Business Intelligence as well as ability to strongly collaborate with business teams (in headquarter and in Project sites) as well as with Information System Technical teams are key factors to success.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Be an expert of PMO Tools data management, in charge of implementing new BI, Data Interface IT Projects and reporting solutions:
modeling PMO, Finance and Project Metiers reporting needs into technical specifications for IS&T Data and BI development projects and validating their outcomes.
Interface and report on IT projects’ progress
Support PM2020 technical committees with Information System Technical teams to ensure sharing and effective resolution of defects
To design and update the PMO Tools Roadmap in line with the evolution of Alstom Reporting applications (ERPs, Finance Reporting tools, etc.)
To write business specification documents for IS&T and external IT application publishers
Support and oversee a team of consultants to work together and to complete projects quickly and in the most efficient way, maintaining timelines, sprints, budget, and risks for projects, but with a continuous focus on customer (end-user) satisfaction
Define, promote and make apply Best Practices for your domain of expertise and work to continuously improve processes and quality
Document Projects: to record properly every step of software development with the proper documentation (including training one).
Drive "Proof of Concept" with Project sites / headquarter teams to evaluate plausibility of potential solutions
Constantly watch on market technological developments and innovative products for his/her domain of expertise and promote them, when relevant
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
You have a degree in computer science (or related discipline) from an engineering school or university (French or European), with a minimum of 6 years-experience software development process and business intelligence project management
You have strong expertise in Business Process definition and specifications (especially in BI like Qlik Sense).
You are open-minded with an ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver excellent results
You have a proven track record of leading successful projects
You have good communication, listening, presentation and writing skills (French & English)
You work well with others in an international environment
You have solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
You can prioritize and manage time effectively
You work independently with minimal supervision and can provide clear and fact-based reporting to your direct
