Contributes to Schneider Electric technical excellence, by providing advanced engineering and expertise services in the field of power systems and electric networks (HV, MV, LV), for both Schneider Electric customers and Schneider Electric R&D divisions.
Develops complex technical designs, provides knowledge, expertise and optimization in the power systems application domain, for Schneider Electric customers.
Builds optimized reference design for electrical distribution applications.
Delivers advanced engineering and expertise services such as: consulting, prescription, training, engineering calculations/studies (static, dynamic, transient), computer modeling, simulations, audits, trouble-shooting (product and system issues).
Communicates results, issues and solutions internally and to customers. Provides some commercial argumentation and reports on potential risks, if any.
Helps establish technical strategies, internal procedures and best practices.
Contributes to Schneider Electric “Offer Creation Process” by providing power systems application expertise (ex: in anticipation activities, protection relay design, advanced algorithms, signal processing, transient network modeling and simulations) in order to design and optimize Schneider Electric products and solutions.
Provides coaching, instructions and assistance to his/her peers.
May help customers to define their needs
Power System Engineer having an extensive knowledge and experience in industrial and/or public network design and operation (MV, HV, LV), electrical network phenomena, design engineering rules and best practices (including computer modeling, simulations, field measurements).
Good interpersonal skills, technical curiosity, efficiency, rigor. Able both to work in a team and work without close supervision.
Experienced in partner/customer relationship: active listening skills, ability to understand and analyze needs/requests.
Fluent in English (both written and oral). Fluent in French much appreciated. Knowledge of additional foreign languages also appreciated.
Experience: 5y+ in several positions related to expertise/engineering in the power systems domain.
