Ubisoft Annecy is looking to hire a Technical Animator to integrate its production studio and the teams in charge of developing The Division and work on the next Ubisoft blockbusters.
Main Objective:
Technical Central point of the Living city subject for a big AAA game.
You will have in charge to define the needs, improve the pipeline, support the team in order to deliver a AAA quality Feature.
Serve as the technical contact between the animation team, the game design team, and the programming team.
Regularly communicate technical constraints and their reasons to the Animation Team
Produce documentation on tools, methods, training, processes, and engine constraints for future reference and consultation
Become familiar with the game design documentation in order to identify technical needs related to animation on the project
Participate in the preparation of production assets, motion capture shooting.
Support for the Integration of the in-game animations

A first relevant experience as a Technical Animator on a video game.
You are known for your discipline, work organization, and compliance with pre-established constraints.
An excellent understanding and analysis of technical issues
An excellent understanding of video game and real-time animation systems
Very good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to understand and communicate with other specialists
An ability to work well in a team
Expertise in writing technical documentation

In-depth knowledge and experience working with established game engine technologies (UDK, Unity, in-house engine...)
Knowledge of a scripting language (Python mandatory, MAXScript, MEL, C#, etc.)
Knowledge of Maya and/or MotionBuilder mandatory
Ability to work and communicate in English, both written and spoken
