Thanks for reading and commenting Franci. The unfortunate truth is the bully usually has a long history and many targets. Even when you stand up to them, it rarely stops. Sometimes the only thing to do is move on, if you can.

Suzan, this is much needed article. Bullying in the workplace shouldn't even be up for discussion! It is unfortunate but it does exist. I experienced bullying from a manager but never reported it. I didn't want to go through misery so close to retiring. As it turned out, I wasn't the only one that was unhappy with this person. I found out they had to move on to another organization due to not getting along with other managers. In my case, I am glad I didn't speak out because the situation took care of itself, however, I don't recommend anyone to put up with bullying in the workplace. Thank you for addressing this subject.
