- 15/07/2016I'm honored to have been asked to present to the Eagles Toastmaster Club in Lago, Nigeria! "The Power of Social Media to Reach New Audiences." They wanted to live stream the meeting to connect the regional Clubs and to connect with members and non-member around the world. The meeting room is limited to 25 people - but the live stream is available to everyone. I encourage you to watch the live stream, comment, ask questions, support this Club and show them just how wide and far a message can reach on social media. Saturday, July 16, 1 pm ET - 3 pm ET. It truly is a pleasure for me to speak to groups such as this - to help them understand the value they can bring to the world via social media. They're so pleased with the success of this first meeting that they're planning to have a virtual meeting every month :)25/07/2016 #5 Margaret Aranda, MD, PhDCongratulations on all the hard work and perseverance it took to receive such a fine Invitation to give an Eagles Toastmaster Club Presentation...and WoW! In Nigeria...great accomplishment, and it is obvious that you also enjoyed being in your essence! Hat's off and more to you!19/07/2016 #4 Charlene Burke#3 It was a great turnout of people watching the live stream on social media. The meeting room wasn't full, but the leadership of the Club was well represented. They have a guest speaker schedule through May, 2017 and are looking for international involvement again. The topics they want covered are Leadership, Initiative, Your Network Determines Your Networth – How To Build Your Network & Business Relationships, Storytelling and communication. It was fun and I'm glad I can help them move forward with showcasing Toastmasters as an international organization.15/07/2016 #2 Charlene Burke#1 It's going to be an adventure, for sure. We're using Zoom for the meeting and the emails that are flying between members are filled with excitement and anticipation. The members aren't familiar with social media, so the most fun part for me is that in their Facebook Group they're guessing that 25 cities will be represented outside of their meeting. They're not quite grasping that the meeting will be "Live" to people around the world. It's why I'm inviting all that can - to join us for a bit via the live stream account on Facebook.
