Recruiters, why aren’t you using social media to build your employer brand of choice?
Recruiters, why aren’t you using social media to build your employer brand of choice? Social is used incorrectly by many businesses and recruiters.Social is exactly that – a social platform where potential customers are interacting with friends, family and articles that are of interest to them. When you are posting social messages...

Great post Tanya. So many people set in their ways, including most C level execs. However you can't open a closed mind.

    Are you bench markKETing?
Are you bench markKETing? When it comes to the world of marketing, too often we compare ourselves to other businesses to measure our success.  This is particularly relevant when it comes to marketing.  I call this process bench marketing. (do you love that play on words)?...

To boost or not to boost, that is the very big question!
To boost or not to boost, that is the very big question! I know it is the easiest thing in the world to click that little blue Boost Post button that Facebook teases you with. After all, it’s only going to cost you $6, $11, $27 etc making it cheap marketing, right? As the organic reach has collapsed over...

Engagement~ I didn't want to post this in Publisher, because it is just a short observation. The engagement I receive on beBee from something I post is over the top. On LinkedIn, it is next to Nada. Chas ✌️ Wyatt

@Phil Friedman, I do not really have an analytical mind. All I know is that I get far more interaction on beBee via views, comments, shares and relevance than on LI. If there were a gauge to measure engagement, it would barely register on LinkedIn for me.

@Chas ✌️ Wyatt, may I ask how you define and measure "engagement"? I have noticed definite differences between LinkedIn and beBee, but I am still not sure that we're comparing apples to apples. Cheers!

Imagine 7 Billion people all wanting engagement, the world becomes a noisy place. Imagine 7 Billion engaging people, the world becomes a busy place - but imagine engagement being thinking not broadcast - 7 Billion thinkers. This is the path least traveled, I take it akin to Jiddu Krishnamurti and his Truth is Pathless Land speech http://www.jkrishnamurti.org/about-krishnamurti/dissolution-speech.php Engagement is a fair-weather friend unless we put a monetary value to it, then that is pure marketing. If your primary value is broadcast then engagement matters, but for me zero response is not necessarily zero engagement, like Krishnamurti I am not in the "changing you" business, and I only need a few people who truly are magnificent and then my life becomes Sawabona - for then truly I SEE YOU. It is very important for marketers to have engagement, but for the thinker it begins and ends with loving what it is we do and personally for me I want a life of flow - for the world is filled to the brim with people trying to engage. To be in flow it to be fully alive and present - because YOU are magnificent, that is why I SEE YOU. Your happiness is not at all requisite on my engagement, it is when you are in flow also.
