OMG I couldn't stop laughing. I love your raw candor @Randall Burns. People use the F bomb more than they'd admit. As long as it not being used in a crude manner who cares?!! I once read an article this past year stating that people who use the F bomb during conversation tend to be of higher intelligence. I must have a pretty high IQ then - oh and you too LOL! People would be surprised how many Health Care Professionals that work with patients use the F bomb when away from the patients. Many off color jokes too because humor is necessary when you work in a profession that can have more down days than up and is very serious. I would imagine the stress of the kitchen could do the same on another level as you described quite well above.

For the record, I've never eaten cock before... not to my knowledge and for those that just read this, get your head out of the gutter haha.

#14 HaHa @Rick Delmonico I would have to say that is your prerogative to have your opinion, it is my choice as to whether I would allow you to have that much power over me to actually offend me. Kind of hard to have a debate, and be at a disadvantage, if I was that fickle. :-)

Thanks for a good belly laugh, Randall. However, on a serious note I agree with you that political correctness has run amok -- especially in the USA. I believe this helps partially explain the angry backlash by voters who helped elect President Trump. They were mad as hell about all the PC BS over the past eight years and just couldn't take it anymore. Now, before people crucify me for mentioning the current American President, please note my intention is simply to make a point -- so stop being do darn politically correct!
PS - This sounds to me like a buzz @Jim Murray would appreciate. What say you, JimBob?

Well I've read and genuinely enjoyed your writing as you know since I said hello, let me be the big breasted redhead on the thread for your entertainment. I was a waitress once and that cook, mmmm, 'wayne gretzky I fucked him ohhhhh!' Now, I'm going to quote a dear friend of mine, don't take it personally, I am a fan of your tounge and cheek writing: ". Listen, I'm glad you found someone you can identify with, someone who can help you release all of that vile shit you keep bottled up because society is "too sensitive." You know what I call that? Racism. Sexism. Idiocy. Society isn't too sensitive. You're just full of hate and it has never been okay (in the past or in the present) to say such things to your fellow human beings."
    Rick Delmonico
    04/08/2017 #14 Rick Delmonico
All of this relies on the recipients self narrative. If I make a statement that greatly conflicts with your self narrative, you will certainly be offended.
Example; you are not competent enough to write on this subject, everything you have written is worthless.
Does this offend you? I have had someone on this site do that exact thing to me and so I will no longer correspond with the ignorant jerk for any reason.
    Phil Friedman
    04/08/2017 #13 Phil Friedman
"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive' ... has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what..." — Stephen Fry writing in the Guardian

Having it fall to just a couple of people to carry on the work of offending people is, let me tell you, seriously burdensome. So I am pleased to see you, @Randall Burns, entering the field. And I am sure the beBee doyen of politically-incorrect, @Jim Murray, will agree with me. Nice piece. Sharing. Cheers!

The small child sees the world through an unfiltered lens but does not understand it. The adult sees the world through the many layers of filters he has collected or have been forced upon him and whatever meaning remains he convinces himself, it is truth.

Living in the moment is a form of art.

Of all the powers contained in the mind of man, stupid is the greatest. Stupid can turn the world upside down.

The mind is always constructing a nested hierarchy of meaning. Cognition occurs in the region of criticality at the edge of chaos.

Love it. The only PC thing about me is my initials. FYI: I have a 9" semi-flexible boner. No, that has nothing to do with my age.

I was reprimanded (internship in Culinary School) for saying, "Linda, Chef sent me to grab your breasts." The HR lady heard me. The reprimand said that I should have added "chicken" lest someone else think I was sexually harassing Linda.

On that related subject, we should all remember that "harass" is one word, not two.

All joking aside: Political Correctness, like swearing, is a pungent spice. It's acceptable when used lightly. Too much leaves a bad taste.

What a great topic @Juan Imaz! I gave up cows milk about a year ago. I decided to use Coconut Milk for the most. I love how my rice and a few other things taste when I use Coconut milk. I do buy soy too, it's great with smoothies and I've concluded that it's good to switch things up on occasion. A lot of people are cow milk intolerant and soy is a good substitute! Soy Milk is great in smoothies too. I swear to those who haven't tried it... you will not know the difference if you use soy milk in a smoothie instead of cows milk.

I am going to provide some feedback on these two "foodies" one of the most overused terms nowadays. At the 5:00 minute mark he describes the dish as having "some type of curry sauce'. #FAIL it's saffron which tints the bomba strain of rice and the caldo. AS someone who has worked as a chef in a past life and considers themselves a threat in the kitchen and has mastered many cuisines not excluding curries from at least 5 countries, I will gladly serve as a judge. Reducing salmorejo and gazpacho to just tomato based soup preparations served cold clearly shows the ignorance of the "foodies" from the Andalou& Madrilleño versions of gazpacho to the Cordobese salmorejo.....they have nuances and ingredients which harken to various roots from various ancestors of the Iberian peninsula not excluding the Moors. #mytwocents My tortilla whether classic or with a twist such as using wild asparagus or ajos tiernos or perhaps adding bacalao....is something I can take pride in. I choose everything in my dishes wisely and purvey the best ingredients like farm fresh eggs for the brilliant decadent yolks to the variety of potato and of course the olive oil. #mytwocents or more like #adollarsworthofopinions

Excellent and informative article @Javier 🐝 beBee. Obviously I have a professional interest in this topic and can say that this is a favorite item to have on my menus. We eat a lot of Gazpacho here in Canada in the hot summer months but I also lived in the Caribbean for over 20 years where I had this on all of my menus year round. There are many variations that can be produced in this easily prepared item, (no cooking needed), incorporating fresh local fruits, (like mango, one of my favorites), papayas, pineapple, etc. Another trick is to roast the garlic beforehand and while you will need twice as much garlic for the recipe the flavor deepens and is greatly enhanced giving a slightly smoky flavor, (roasted peppers also add a "smoky" hint), . fresh herbs, (as opposed to dried), are essential.
A very versatile, healthy dish, that can easily be modified to suit one's personal tastes or special menu, theme or occasion.

#7 Actually, @Pamela 🐝 Williams, I made this often on my road to 60 pounds of weight loss. Sub out the oil for water, the yogurt (which I didn't mention should be plain) for the lo-cal version, double up the lemon, and stick to breasts. Low calorie and yummy. Forget about the garlic sauce, but you can sub low-calorie mayo and a sh!tload of garlic

Oh I could devour the plate in the picture right now. Is it me or do I get the feeling that they market Middle Eastern food in the U.S. as usually Turkish food, and not Lebanese, Iranian, Egyptian etc like in England for example. Either way, Iranian food & Lebanese food are my favourite. Your recipe for "Turkish yakitori" looks amazing Paul-sensei ! I would like a chili-sauce with that.
