Don't Let the Recovery Be Worse Than the StormTallahassee, FL (where I live) became subject to a hurricane watch recently (for then-tropical storm Hermine). We haven't had a hurricane here for about 10 years, so everybody had become complacent.Tallahassee is the Capitol of Florida but still has...

#1 Thank you for reading the post and commenting. My only sign on the tortoises is that they ate and moved (slowly) as they usually do. At night they sleep under a heat lamp, which was out due to the storm. Nonetheless, they survived.

You seem to have a lot of animals. Glad you saved Bob. Heat is terrible but I suspect what would have expected him after the flush is in line with the title of your post. It´s terrible to hear that people take advantage even of victims of natural disasters. How can you tell if a tortoise is happy? I always found them hard to read.

#1 There are a few InsurTech vehicles pursuing the Health route (http://www.getfitsense.com/ is a good example). Many of those that are getting press are those in the more traditional personal lines arena, likely as it is less regualated than the life market, and also in my opinion because it is easier to disrupt. Predictive analytics and AI are more prevalent in Life & Health though...

#1 Thanks for the feedback Brian. I am endeavouring to share each of the individual posts as I add them, and the newsletter is simply a summary in case anyone has missed the posts - but I do take your point.

When I read your lead in - and it sends me to a link..... that sends me to another link to get the full content - your are shooting yourself in the foot while claiming to promote easier pathways. While claim payment status updates are great - that kind of jumpy CX is not fun - especially on a mobile device in a 6 second world. Just give me the right link the first time. PS - this UBER is still clearly focused on P&C lines - I haven't seen any get to the Health, Life & Supplimental lines.... and it is indeed ripe for disruption.

Is Snapchat, Inc. really to blame for this teen's reckless driving? I don't know a lot about product liability insurance, so I can't help but look at this from a non-insurance perspective.
