LinkedIn is doing everything possible to squash everything that smell to superconnector as they want premium members, They could hundreds of millions subscribers @1 USD a month, which could translate if 400 M sign up to over 4 B a year. They cannot get rid of us yet. Another things is the quality of the site and its inability to cover a wider audience without deteriorating its brand..

    - This is one thing I have noticed on LinkedIn, that they seem to pick & choose whom they want to high light. & since @Candice 🐝 Galek has been dealing with this for sometime & understands this issue better than most. She continues to make her points. I don't see her as to demanding, I think she would just like a fair & balanced playing field. & I think everyone of social media who has a business would like that same.

@Candice 🐝 Galek, I am not interested in a job, but, I have been boycotting Pulse on my own for some time. I am one of your connections that see your updates in my feed on LinkedIn consistently. In that respect, I am lucky. After I transfer some things I will be putting LinkedIn in the Trash folder. I know you seen a surge in business due to some things you posted on LinkedIn, and the article that followed on Forbes by @Cheryl Snapp Conner, which is where we first connected through a comment, in which I informed you about beBee. I am glad that you have become more active on beBee. I guess I view it as a positive side-effect of LinkedIn's mis-steps. I do not know if posting on beBee will be an asset towards your business, or not, but, for me beBee is the future and LinkedIn will soon be the past.

Even if you maintain a presence on, and connection with LinkedIn, I recommend to all to pick an item in your feed, click in the upper right hand corner to secure the drop down menu that enables you to silence that particular update, click silence and then confirm. You will be rewarded with the question "Improve My Feed?". Click on it, and you will see an options page as to what you want to follow in your feed. UNclick "Pulse" from its default plus setting, and, voila, YOU ARE BOYCOTTING PULSE. A bonus is that you will start to see some, though far from all, of the posts from people you follow, and would like to see. Your fate is now in your hands. Cheers!

Just recently, I found this blog useful. This is my first serious foray into employment. I submitted an application and a recruitment company wanted to do a background check on me and asked me to e-mail them my full legal name, date of birth, and social security number. I gave them everything but the latter in my consent to the search. I do not know if the job offer is serious because I have not had an interview with their client, so I will withhold sensitive day until absolutely necessary. During my research I also concluded that a background check can be completed without SS#.
