They could spend more time getting to know their employees. They could spend some time working beside them once every week or two. They could be more inclusive so they were more approachable. I hate to say this because I don't want to make it sound like a blanket statement but there are CEO's who abuse their roles by leaving during work hours for golf outings, 2 hour lunches which include alcohol, take extended vacations and are paid 10 times that of which their employees are paid. This is not conducive for a healthy work environment. There are many good CEO's as well... much food for thought here!

"knuckle dragging oxygen thieves" - Hah! That's classic. Why do they capture attention? They are like a squeaky wheel I suppose. If our habit is to always allow ourselves to be "interrupt driven" rather than purposefully focused on the right task we need to accomplish at the moment, then we'll always notice the bad apples. So we need to train ourselves to firstly focus on our purpose and what we are doing.

#1 Like it @Brian McKenzie it seems very easy for authority to keep going along packaging turds in sparkly wrappers and selling them to the masses who seem to have the necessary funds to keep purchasing their crap. Only the few have the courage to find their truth and be prepared to invest in it to make progress.

I could put a turd in a sparkly wrapper and sell the hell out of - I can't give away the truth for free. (yes, I have actually sold bags of straw, compost and manure - to faithful niche group, repeatedly)
