Thanks for this, I do struggle finding the balance but kinda the opposite way, I beat myself up after a week where errands, kids school stuff & unexpected demands take more that expected time, like last week and then I hit into the next week under self inflicted pressure BUT not this week (' ' ,)

As you said, you grew up with Windows 7 like me or everybody else, and it’s difficult to see yourself using other OS, plus every single software works on windows.
I’m not a graphic design but I prefer Linux and MAC over Windows. From my point of view, Windows is a very complex OS and not easy to use, but again, everybody is familiar with Windows.
MAC and Linux give you the necessary and simple tools to work secure and comfortable.
But, if you do not feel comfortable do not use.

I'm curious about something. I know a lot of people who are heavily involved in graphics etc. are typically "mac" people. Now that Intel "windows" computers are caught up to the technology, or so I'm told, why should I spend almost double on a Mac? I'm not trying to be fecicious (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) but really... Why should I? I was raised on windows. It would be a pretty serious learning curve. I had to use a mac at work once. Not for graphics or anything. I typed in a search " *.pdf". In windows, this will search for any filename with a pdf extension. There were many other little differences. I would like to stick with what I know but I have people telling me, now that I'm getting into graphics and web design, that I "must have a mac". I'm having trouble swallowing that. Any thoughts?
