Nice post Will. Here is my take: Sprinting is basically a combination of power and reflexes. Besides the power exercises you describe, one can do quick bursts of high intensity small step running to exercise reflexes. Stomach muscles add a power-punch to sprinting – lots of sit-ups helps. Sprinting technique – keeping the upper body relaxed and the legs moving is quite difficult to learn – but very effective. Flexibility is crucial – stretching and extension exercises is a must.
