#16 Cool Beans! I am glad you enjoyed it @Kevin Pashuk. I did start a hive called Acoustics Only, however the activity there is pretty light. Nevertheless, I am super happy you enjoyed the buzz. I was thinking I might do another on this same topic, people seemed to enjoy it.

Shall I expect to see a acoustics buzz from you soon? I sure hope so!

#15 Keep practicing @๐Ÿ Fatima G. Williams, soon the fingers will feel fine and your muscles will remember where they belong on the fretboard. I did not pick up a guitar until I was in my mid 30's and admittedly it does not come naturally. Yet, I love to play, even if its simply strumming out a rhythm. Glad you enjoyed the tunes.

#9 Thanks man, I am really happy you enjoyed it. That Shinedown cover is fantastic. There is just something about the vocal energy Brent Smith brings to the song that sets it apart. I thought about including it on my covers post last week, but since I had written an entire post just about that one song, I decided to omit it from that list. Looking forward to hearing your shares!

#8 #7 I did enjoy them Aaron they were some really good acoustic tracks and I will be sharing so keep an eye out for them hopefully you will be surprised, thanks also for the credit although I think we are both passing some inspiration to others with our musical posts.

I have also viewed your post on Linkedin and I must say how you worked everything in with the lyrics of the song was pretty good, and the song was a very good cover....i was really impressed!

#6 Thanks @Gert Scholtz for the appreciation nice to hear you are enjoying the musical buzzes.

#6 Thank you Gert! I am happy you are enjoying them, although I have to give the credit entirely to @Andrew Porter for the inspiration. JT has some great stuff, and this tune, while inspired by difficult times is certainly one for the ages.

I wrote a post on LinkedIn last spring, it was the first time I used music to inspire a post. You might enjoy it and there is a great video of Shinedown covering "Simple Man" at the end. . . https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/being-simple-man-aaron-skogen That, is my all time favorite version of the song "Simple Man" and should be on a "cover's" post sometime! Andrew, you might enjoy that one too.

#5 Andrew, I hope you enjoyed them. I love Dave Grohl. He is, in my opinion, one of the finest musicians of my generation (X). Following the death of Cobain and the demise of Nirvana, and after bouncing around a little bit, he produced a "demo tape", playing all the instruments and performing all vocals on each track. That demo tape, after a professional studio mix, became the Foo Fighters first album. Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed a few of the selections. Yes, please drop by and contribute, I look forward to it!

I love Paco de Lucรญa. I don't know much about Carlos Montoya and Andrรฉs Segovia (except for this performance of "Asturias - Leyenda"), but I'd like to mention Sabicas. Honestly, I've never seen anyone play with such grace as he did.

Here in Brazil, there are/were many very fine guitar players also, but the one I'd like to highlight is Baden Powell. Among others distinctions, he's the first guy that i know of that could play effortlessly while holding a cigarrette :-D

Great buzz @Javier ๐Ÿ beBee. I was especially impressed with the technique of Carlos Montoya..powerful, technically brilliant and it seems he can improvise at will. He makes his instrument sound like an electric guitar and even a bouzouki in places. Paco de Lucia brought back fond memories of Las Ramblas in Barcelona ..relaxing at the side walk cafes eating jambon and croquettes and listening to the street flamenco players...great holiday!

Want to hear someone that will blow you away? This German, yes GERMAN, is one of the "baddest" (this means "good" for those unfamiliar with kid slang here in the US) Spanish guitarist you will hear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIN6L3mKDpg&list=RDOIN6L3mKDpg#t=42. If you don't have 1hour and 10 minutes right now, Jump to 9:02 BARCELONA NIGHTS.

How I wish I had continued my lesson when I was kid myself. I've tried to listen to good Spanish guitar when I'm driving. But, I always eventually close my eyes. The two don't mix to well.

#5 Here's the thing, Robert. My Dad and my cousin (a professional musician) both have perfect ears.

    Mine suck.

As a kid, I took lessons. My Dad would come in to tell me to tune the guitar. I thought I had. He would show me how.

    Ding, Dong (adjust) Ding, Ding.

I never heard the difference. To me it all sounded the same.

I guess if I MUST have of of my senses be defective, tonality would be the one I choose.

    I may regret this...

This video was an impromptu session where I took a break from yardwork (hence the hat) grabbed my guitar to try and teach my son about not being 'tentative' when you play. The choice of song came out of the blue, and after playing the first run, my son grabbed my iPad and asked me to start over. Overall I was amazed at the resulting quality from the little microphone and camera on the iPad (3rd Gen).

The guitar is a Rainsong WS2000, my Flat-picking / Dylanesque / coffee-house style has been developed over a few years...

Beautiful guitar Dean! I wouldn't use it either; that's one to hang on the wall. My stepfather bought me one similar (not as detailed) while in high school where I was taking lessons. But alas once again we moved where the new school didn't offer guitar. I was teaching myself until my very young nephew decided it was a seat to be sat on and broke the neck off the base.. He was only 3 so I couldn't get mad but I sure wanted to cry!
