Great article by @John White, MBA on inc.com - an interview with @Jim Cody. Jim stated in the article "Always be genuine and helpful to your connections. While self-promotion is big on social media, it's not a one-way street. People are more open to your promotional content when you engage on theirs first." Couldn't agree more Jim!

#1 I'm not saying don't enjoy yourself @Dean Owen, We certainly can't take it with us when 'the' day comes, But most of us will live 15 / 20 years in retirement, that's a long time to be penniless. But certainly make the most of the life you have while you have it!

For me it is mathematical. I want to have as many happy days in my life as possible. Considering that death could occur at any moment in time, best have all the happy days upfront. And there is a saying, spend money to make room for more. And finally, in the event I reach retirement age and am not loaded, in my opinion I have failed and don't mind living out my years penniless. Unconventional perhaps, but that is just me.
