    #5 I don't have any connection with them. These days it varies widely, and you just have to ask. In this case, they say they don't accept previously-published work (though different publishers have different ideas about if blogs and social media posts count.) In most cases, they're just asking for first publishing rights, and the story is yours to print later (sometimes after 6 months). They often want you to add a note on the title page mentioning where it was published first.
