I missed this the first time around, Gert, and the second time around also, but I am intrigued by the concepts you've laid out. Brainstorming, in my very limited experience, appears to be most effective if the brainstormers are selected to represent the most diverse of duties within the organisation. Hence, the participants might represent a mixture of upper and middle management, trainees or recruits and support staff. A mix of male and female would also appear to help so that there is as much diversity as possible within the chosen brainstormers. It is paramount that all participants are encouraged to contribute without succumbing to preconceived rank or hierarchy. Often the most effective ideas come from those least experienced in the concepts being discussed as they have not been exposed to the bias of prior experience and either successes or failed attempts.

You will create less behavioral inhibition to sharing ideas as well as commenting on them or adding to them, particularly by less assertive people.
