"THE DANCING SOCRATES"My trip to Transylvania was one of such journeys which you want to take for yourself. We need sometimes to make our mind and answer some questions : What I want to do? What will be my next step to fulfil my life. I achieved a lot in a very young age...

Such an inspiring and capturing journey of the body and mind you've shared with us @Joanna Hofman!! When I was younger, I thought Transylvania was a fictional place. How beautiful it is! When we are seeking external stimulus, like that from the earth and universe- I think it is then we can find out so much more about ourselves. The photos are beautiful! So happy you were able to do this.

What an inspiring journey you just shared with me, @Joanna Hofman. I love this sooooo much:

"During this journey I learnt, how important is to share with others...share beauty, difficult moments, laugh and dance during the rain, talk to trees, swim in the river during the sunset, admire a beauty of nature and wake up at the morning with first beams of the sun. "

Beautiful story @Joanna Hofman. The best thing about travelling is the inside journey it supposes, specially if you travel on your own. Good luck my dear friend in the research of your path meanwhile enjoying the moment!!

#34 Fully agree. Travel is best when one is young enough for such a quest as here described, walking and taking big strides up hills, across the skies, and through place after place.

Great story @Joanna Hofman. Like @Lada 🏡 Prkic I would love to just pack up and travel. I think it's important if people can travel not to wait and save it all up until they retire. I've seen too many wait, only to become ill and not able to travel and follow their dreams.

What an inspiring story, @Joanna Hofman! I wish I could pack my backpack, just like that, and take the journey for myself. But always find an excuse why I cannot do that and looking for the reasons that facilitate decision not to go, such as my family obligations, my work, my fear of travelling alone …The “What if?” question that I ask myself is always stops me.
For now, my life runs in the ordinary way, but I’m still waiting to dazzle myself. :)

#30@Margaret Aranda, MD, PhD, thank you for your meaningful comment. Yes, as long we allow to live a child inside us as long we will enjoy every second in our life and small, simple things will bring us a joy...a drop of rain, butterfly, colourful rainbow, sunny day ...

I often say that to have your true desire in life become that which you desire most. Figuring out what it you desire most from within is what creates the you that lives that life that is endlessly following your bliss. The character you become that gives life a cinematic view.

"During this journey I learnt, how important is to share with others...share beauty, difficult moments, laugh and dance during the rain, talk to trees, swim in the river during the sunset, admire a beauty of nature and wake up at the morning with first beams of the sun." Love this piece from its inception, questioning LIFE and living LIFE outside of boundaries, with freedom to be "You." A universal message indeed, and a trip, going on this trip with you. I can smell the grass and run my fingers along the jagged paint on the outer building walls. The icons of relatives past are iconic, to say the least. And your conclusion Quote...is just like @Max🐝 J. Carter said too, "Everything and everyone is connected. Nothing can be attracted only reflected." ~ Thank you for the inspiration. Great for kids of all ages.

#23 Thank you, Ken for sharing your personal experiences. The mountain always sounds to me very symbolic - like life : sometimes we reach a top but sometimes we are in the valleys where we learn patience and prepare ourselves to reach a top of our mountain . I like your expression in the comment.

I'm glad you conquered your mountain, Joanna, and even more so that you enjoyed the journey. I used to love walking and climbing in the high Cairngorm Mountains when I was a lad in Scotland, and was always impatient to reach the next peak or ridgeline. The mountains are majestic and lift the soul, but the valleys are where we spend most of our lives and where we learn patience and tolerance. Thanks for bringing back memories. ⛰

#21 Fantastic @Joanna Hofman, I love the Himalayas. Do remember that the mountain you climbed in Transylvania, at 2,500m, is a typical starting point for mountains in the Himalayas to do take lots of carbohydrates (Tibetans and Nepalese eat lots of potatoes). Am so looking forward to your trip!

#20 @Dean Owen, we create our top of mountain. It doesn't need to be a real 'top of mountain' to have a reason to dance. As long as we keep a child inside us - we can find a reason to admire with a joy a moment of the day. My next trip will be to conquer Annapurna in Himalaya:)
