HOW TO MEDITATE : Learning meditation is a journey in consciousness, and there are many paths. The ultimate aim is to rise from body-consciousness (I am this body), to Soul-consciousness (I am an immortal soul, temporarily embodied in this physical form) .

The 8-fold (Ashtanga) Raja Yoga is the most scientific path. Meditation comes at the 7th step, but the preceding steps - Yama-Niyama (principles of right living, the ethical Do’s and Don’ts) to Dharana (focus or concentration) - are vital as preparatory to meditation, and therefore should not be overlooked.

Because of the physical posture which we visibly take during meditation and which impresses us, and the mind which does the focusing, we might think that body and mind are the main tools in meditation, but actually they are the main hassles, and Raja Yoga disciplines them through the first 6 steps until they become docile and conducive.

Meditation has the highest failure rate, but the when it really happens, the rewards are incredible. We must remember that meditation is not just a technique - without right living it cannot succeed. We also need to develop devotion, but without wisdom, humility and devotion cannot happen. The religion you follow does not matter here - follower of any faith can meditate.

So you need a teacher, a coach who has walked the path. If you are keen, I can do online coaching for you in every step of Ashtanga Yoga, very scientifically (through video/audio chats, one to one) ; it takes about 3 - 6 months to be on your own.

Besides the techniques (know-how) of posture, pranayama etc., you will learn the guiding principles (know-why) relating to how-to-live in balance, how to tame the mind that behaves like a drunken monkey, what is the meaning and mystery of life and our ultimate quest, how to build concentration and how it relates to meditation, what is the nature of soul, how the laws of karma and reincarnation affect us, etc. You can write to me at hansyoga@gmail.com

Here is a spiritual yet scientific coaching - online and personalized for you one-to-one wherein you learn to be healthier in body, mind and soul.

Abundant joy is right within us, and every meditative moment is the pickax with which we can dig it, but unmindful of this, we run after fleeting excitements of the senses in a world where, as my Master says, "Behind every rose-bush of pleasure hides a rattle-snake of misery'.'

We of course do not have to run away from family, from work but we must remain inwardly calm as we do our role-plays in the world. And meditation alone can ensure that.

You will also learn a lot more on Stress Control, Medicine-less remedies for common mind-body ailments, Self-motivation etc. It is a 3 to 6 months course, done on video / audio / text chats online.

" Practicing yoga is half the battle. Even if you don't feel enthusiastic in the beginning, if you go on practicing you will come to feel that tremendous longing for God which is necessary if you are to find Him.

Why don’t you make the effort? Whence do all the beautiful things in creation continually emerge? Whence comes the intelligence
of great souls, but from the storehouse of the Infinite Spirit?

And if these wonders you see about you are not enough to induce you to seek Him, why should He reveal Himself to you?

He has given you the capacity for love that you may yearn for Him above all else. Don't misuse your love and reason. And don't misuse your concentration and intelligence on false goals."

--Paramahansa Yogananda,(the author of 'Autobiography of a Yogi'') in 'Man's Eternal Quest"

A loving and lovable Saint who preached the Bible in Churches and the Gita in his ashrams...who gave us Kriya Yoga and more....and the heritage that ascends behind him is glorious, right up to Mahavatar Babaji's golden effulgence. Babaji - the youngest, glowing, child-like with long tresses, most recent in the line of the Siddhas who they say was successful, through yoga and its vibrations, to transform his gross physical body into a pure light body. Something possible for all human beings it seems...if we live right through Yoga and eat right,.Another great Science is fading away....

Well, we all feel low at times, that's quite human. But if we consistently feel anxious, negative, loveless and vexed, we must do something about it. Just thinking about the problem can only make it worse.

The mind is the interface between the body (which is gross matter) and the Soul (which is non-matter), and the mind uses the brain as its processor. The trouble is our ways of thinking and doing get hardwired (programmed) into the brain as neural pathways, and these become what we know as habits, driving further such thoughts and actions.

There are definite and scientific Yogic techniques that can help undo or format' these neural circuits (known as Neuroplasticity of the Brain).

Besides the bodily postures and breathing techniques, we need to also draw upon the discriminative intellect's reason, the heart's love and the soul's latent wisdom to address these issues. The results can be amazingly life-transforming !

Write to us at hansyoga@gmail.com for a 3 to 6 months' online life coaching to learn all these, step by step and scientifically, through video/audio chats, mails, Whatsapp etc.

It is personalized, one-to-one and confidential.
