The opportunity
Our data analytics team focuses on helping our clients unlock value from their information assets through collaboration with domain experts across assurance, tax, transactions, and advisory to embed innovative data analytics solutions in existing service lines. In response to strong market demand, we are seeking additional individuals to enhance our existing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a data analytics team which is changing how we deliver services to our clients.
Your key responsibilities
The candidate will be involved in EY Ireland’s highly successful Funds Automation Project, helping to drive innovation for our clients by unlocking value from their information assets through collaboration with domain experts, third party fund data providers, and our assurance practice to embed our innovative data analytics solutions. Typical activities are:

Contributing to internal reporting requirements such as output specifications, functional requirements such as use cases, management updates, and other reports as            required

Contributing to improvements to our clients’ business analysis documentation and methodologies

Gathering, documenting, and presenting end user client requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, etc.)

Working with business and technical teams to support the development of technical requirements

Researching and defining business requirements and alternative solutions, working with clients and key stakeholders to determine their needs.
To qualify for the role, you must have

At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience of working in a similar business analyst or related IT role

A working familiarity with Agile development concepts and the ability to use Agile collaboration tools (Jira, Slack, etc.)

The ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyse and document business process, user and data functional requirements

Strong reporting and documentation skills

Demonstrable knowledge of Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint

High organisational, self-starting, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have

The ability to communicate effectively with technical and business resources

Experience with financial data

Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire)
