The Movidius Team have been at the forefront of designing and delivering solutions for exciting new machine vision markets and to date have delivered the successful Myriad VPUs and Neural Compute Stick Programs. We are continuing to work on innovative VPU & SoC designs for machine vision applications generally and drones specifically.
Within the software group, the Camera Development Kit (CDK) ISP Software team are responsible for developing image processing algorithms and ASIC-friendly image processing pipelines. Design, implement and integrate software components based on HW datasheets, architecture specifications and requirements
Review professional literature, academic papers, collect data and specify solution options for camera, imaging and vision algorithms
Design and implement test cases for algorithms to provide performance data
Work with HW team to review HW design
Participate in system requirements definitions
SW/HW system integration & debug
Investigate general & system related problems
Interact with external customers and partners
Required qualifications and skills for the role
BS in Computer Science or Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Eng. related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge)
Minimum 3+ years directly related industry experience working in Software Image Signal Processing
Programming in C/C++ is essential
Experience working with DSPs, Image Processing, and/or Computer Vision algorithm development
Strong analytical and problem oriented work style
Ability to work both in team environments, and independently
Nice to Have qualifications and skills
Ph.d/M.Sc with excellence in Electrical Eng. / Physics / Computer Science / Mathematics
Knowledge of Linux, both as a user and programmer would be desirable
Knowledge of image processing and computer vision algorithm concepts and techniques Knowledge of real-time control concepts.
Hands on experience of multi-core and developing parallelizable algorithms
MATLAB or Octave competence Image signal processing algorithm development. Including: noise reduction, demosaicing, defect correction, aberration correction, distortion correction, 3A algorithm
