Job Location: Cary, NC
Role Value Proposition:
The Director of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Strategy will lead GTO Application Rationalization initiative and co-chair GTO Application Portfolio Management (APM) Center of Excellence (CoE). GTO Application rationalization is an enterprise-wide rationalization and simplification initiative aimed at reducing GTO application footprint, building repeatable processes for business capability / business value driven rationalization and to stand up a GTO APM CoE for ongoing governance and standardization across MetLife globally.
Complete application-business capability mapping (L1/L2/L3), partnering with EA teams, app owners and business
Work with senior leaders across all LoBs/depts./regions to build app rationalization pipeline
Pursue and execute rationalization opportunities with result oriented focus
Build relevant KPIs and metrics dashboard to closely track and improve app rationalization processes
Stand up GTO APM CoE and co-chair it with LoB leads
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Prior experience in executing enterprise wide application rationalization (or similar) initiatives
Hands on experience in Business architecture and Systems architecture
Proven track record of successfully executing large initiatives with cross functional teams
Excellent people skills with ability to build influential partnerships at all levels
Leadership presence and assertive communication skills exuding confidence
10+ years with proven track record of leading diverse technology products / platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience with business case development and financial modeling / analysis
Broad knowledge of insurance industry products, technologies and design patterns
Good understanding of MetLife Business, products and applications footprint
Experience with application rationalization and/or driving enterprise-wide strategic programs
