As Technical SEO Manager, you will look after all the technical SEO aspects of the Groupon International sites, ensuring that they meet the optimal technical criteria of the latest search engine algorithms to improve accessibility, visibility, rank, and relevance in search engines. You will help investigate, define, prioritize, and execute the Groupon’s SEO strategy playing a key role doing optimization at large scale and optimizing the experience for many existing offerings.


The ideal candidate will have solid technical SEO knowledge, hands-on experience running technical SEO audits for large websites, project management abilities, technical aptitude, a bias for action, humility, and the ability to create and manipulate data in the furtherance of driving revenue.

Responsibilities


- Manage all the technical SEO aspects for the Groupon International sites across the EMEA and APAC regions


- Propose and lead initiatives to develop medium and long term strategies in order to drive SEO growth


- Working closely with the Product and the Engineering teams to deliver large scale SEO projects


- Run recurring SEO website and technical audits


- Look after crawlability and indexation of the sites identifying and solving complex technical issues


- Manage complex SEO projects from their conception till their delivery


- Run analysis and present data to continuously improve traffic and conversion


- Report on weekly and monthly business performance to C-level stakeholders


- Work with external agencies to provide large scale SEO services


Requirements:


- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Technical SEO (Canonicalization, Sitemaps, Crawlability, etc.)


- Proven analytical mindset and ability to think creatively and solve open-ended projects


- Detailed understanding of SEO best practices and Google quality guidelines


- Experience working with engineering teams


- Writing detailed project specs


- Experience managing complex projects and capability to make data-supported decisions


- Ability to build recommendations and insights from the data available


- Experience working with a variety of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Ahref, MOZ and others


- Knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithms, best practices, trends and industry developments


- Experience analyzing server logs


- Strong Excel skills


- Strong written and verbal communication skills


Great To Have:


- Bachelor’s degree or comparable business experience in a scientific or engineering field


- Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, MySql and/or Python


- SQL proficiency


- Experience running A/B tests
