What you’ll be doing...
Verizon’s Ireland Sourcing Team is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. The Business Operations Team supports activities that make the Sourcing team successful. You will be responsible for leading elements within the Finance Reporting team. The role will consist of running management activities and providing the opportunity to own and lead elements across the teams.
Generating monthly invoices and related activity for all VSIL teams (Sourcing & Roaming).
Handling eResult Project reviews, approval and validation processes, including tracking/true-up support.
Establishing high level KPI’s and dashboards to facilitate relevant financial meetings.
Enhancing and developing the VSIL Savings validation process further.
Strengthening and advancing the current True Up process.
Providing General Financial/Accounting/Tax/Local Irish Authorities engagement and support.
Continually ensuring the integrity of the savings data by auditing the spend data and reconciling with the various internal VSIL teams.
Supporting and leading the development and execution of various types of operational and strategic business initiatives and projects, which may include supplier engagement, process improvement and strategic facing projects.
Leading and contributing to process identification, development and process management.
Managing, controlling and owning big data analysis and supporting teams on understanding data and implementing findings.
Handling monthly variance reporting – mobile phone / savings / T&E.
Enhancing and developing the current MI process, including working with various VSIL teams to ensure key suppliers data is up-to-date and maintained, such as Price Benchmarking, Technology and Market Trends, Sourcing Best Practices, and Competitive Intelligence.
Partnering with stakeholders, including VSIL Director Teams, Gartner, and VDSI.
What we’re looking for...
You’re a dynamic professional with a transformational approach to Business Operation areas, and have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to design and execute projects and processes in a global environment.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Five or more years of work experience, including some in telecom industries or similar.
Business operations, finance, and/or audit experience.
Ability to drive strategic results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
Ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and to use Microsoft Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses – advanced Excel knowledge.
Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.
Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
