The Gate & Barrier Engineer will be joining one of Dublin's leading automation and security companies, for some 34 years, at the heart of innovation and technology within this rapidly evolving industry sector. Ideally, they are looking for a Gate & Barrier Engineer and all-rounder, within the access automation, gates, barriers, doors etc.
The Gate & Barrier Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repairs, maintenance and servicing on all aspects of gates, car park and security barriers, access and entrance systems, from industrial doors to automatic doors etc.
The Engineer is required to maintain and carry out routine service on various types of equipment, as stated above. The Engineer will be experienced in all or some of these areas, and if successful, will receive the necessary training to carry out other services. This position reports directly to the Projects Team Leader.
. Maintenance and service of Mechanical & Electrical equipment.
. Ensure that all information on jobs is captured in Real Time
. Highlight any potential issues to the technical support team leader.
. Establish and maintain high standards in relation to Environmental Health and Safety work practices.
. Ensure that the service is being delivered on time and on budget by, maximise your productivity through planning
. Ensure a First-time fix and reduce returns
. Support customers Internal/External with technical issues
. Document all non-compliances
. Helping to build strong customer relationships.
The Gate & Barrier Engineer will have both electrically& mechanically minded, working in a field role and be flexible, must be willing to travel, undertake the on-call rota of 1 in 5 Undertake or be security vetted, and hold either a BSEN16005, Safe Pass, DHF etc.
Package & Benefits:
The successful Engineer will receive a salary of around 40,000 - 50,000, with the opportunity to earn up to 60,000 with overtime and call outs, on-call allowance is paid at an additional 15 hours per week. Further training and progression, Company Vehicle (Spouse usage)
