The role involves designing multi-channel digital solutions (with a social technology focus) for patients and health care professionals in some of the most challenging areas of medicine (Oncology, Neuroscience, Immunology, respiratory and ophthalmology). We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes digital, with a solid understanding of social technology tools.
The Solution Design Experts’ (SDE) major accountability within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) is to translate high level design and business requirements into digital solutions and implement in alignment with the design and architectural standards, while meeting quality, performance and security requirements. The SDE provides consultancy to business customers in following areas: appropriate use of technology, research, ideation, prototyping and validation (user testing).
Business requirements are shaped and gathered via engagement with customers, therefore a vital skill is to have the ability to understand the business viewpoint to create technical solutions that fit the purpose. The SDE must come equipped with a strong spirit of innovation and champion reusability while always striving for increased productivity. The SDE must also engage with Project managers and has a key role in the production of project documentation. Where necessary the SDE will work with Technical Experts, Vendors, Architecture and UX/UI to ensure our solution catalogue meets customer expectations.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Working with team members within the solution design team to assess and review new demands.
• Perform scoping, design thinking workshops for projects/enhancements, propose solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations and align with business teams.
• Ensure designs produced adhere to architectural handbook / roadmap
• Provides appropriate cost estimates with the help of wider NBS IT team for securing project budget approvals.
• Works in a landscape of continuous improvement where topics such as usage, usability and business relevance of solutions are constantly re-assessed.
• Develop system designs and low functioning prototypes that adhere to high level conceptual design and are traceable to functional as well as non-functional requirements in projects/enhancements.
• Work with project managers to ensure project/enhancements work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints following the release calendars
• Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business.
• Initiate solution testing to ensure these meet quality standards and provides the voice of the end user when needed.

Minimum requirements
bWhat you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree in business/technical area or adequate equivalent
• Fluent English written and spoken
• 5 years + experience in a similar role with a proven track record
• Ability to operate in matrix organization
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Good time management and organizations skills
• Ability and experience to work in a customer facing role
• Strong documentation and written skills.
• Strong knowledge in social media Technology design including: Social Listing, Journey building, Dashboard building and Adverse Event Management.
• Experience in handling vendors in a multi-cultural environment
• Good working knowledge of UX / UI design and the ability create prototypes
