Advisory Director – Supply Chain

To achieve this goal, we are looking for a talented and ambitious individual at director level who is interested in this dynamic growth area, who will lead our Supply Chain Practice and who wants to contribute to our continued, sustained growth agenda in Advisory overall.

As a Director in Supply Chain, you will:
Have an impressive track record of winning/delivering supply chain work in the marketplace, underpinned with a strong, trusted network
Be well-respected as a Supply Chain practitioner, with extensive experience in leading complex supply chain processes and large scale transformation programmes;
Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organisation.
Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge. Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
As a respected senior professional you will communicate effectively with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff to build sustainable competencies.
Engagement responsibilities include:
Leading at senior client levels, building 'trusted advisor' relationships across our markets and industries;
Leading a team to deliver engagements to time, cost and quality standards within appropriate governance frameworks;
Solving business and strategic issues through collaboration and teaming;
Applying knowledge and experience to shape services to clients and present project outputs via concise, high quality work products;
Managing the financial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders;
Leading and participating in business development initiatives;
Building strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other service lines.
People responsibilities include:
Role-modelling the EY values and being an advocate for people engagement in EY;
Developing people through effectively leading, coaching, and mentoring staff;
Conducting performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff;
Contributing to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training professionals;
Maintaining an educational programme to continually develop personal skills;
Understanding and following workplace policies and procedures.
You will have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:
At least 10 years within a blue chip consulting firm or industry
(track record in consulting is desirable);
