Roles and Responsibilities

Working as a Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include:

§ Prepare sector-focused newsletters

§ Identify potential M&A clients for business development purpose

§ Structure and prepare buy-side / sell-side pitch books

§ Execute valuation analysis through market approach and income approach

§ Structure and prepare sections of Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Management Presentations (MPs)

§ Prepare three-statement financial models for M&A transactions

§ Perform financial and operational benchmarking

§ Prepare conference presentations

§ Assemble Virtual Data Rooms (VDR) for M&A transactions

Essential skills required

Education / professional qualifications

CA / CFA / CPA / MBA (Specialization in Finance & Investment Management)

Prior experience

Relevant experience of 2.5 to 5 years in investment banking / M&A services

Technical skills:

§ Strong understanding of financial statements and financial ratios

§ Advanced knowledge of M&A concepts and relative valuation techniques

§ Strong business writing skills

§ Good understanding of capital markets

§ Advanced knowledge of MS Office (specifically, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint)

§ Command in using research databases such as Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, Pitchbook, among others

Enabling skills

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

§ Strong analytical and problem solving skills

§ Personal drive and positive attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations

§ Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team and guide juniors whenever required

§ Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situations
