What You'll Do 
As the Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) supporting a major Service provider customer you will be responsible for providing consultative, dedicated and/or reactive support ( if needed ) to the program. You will be responsible for network preparation, planning, design, implementation/ integration and facilitate operation/ optimization. This includes remote or on-site: infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, performance engineering and optimization, knowledge transfer and mentoring, proof-of-concept testing, network auditing/sizing, pre-staging, pre-configuration, deployment planning and acceptance of Cisco product in execution or advisory/assistance or support models. You will give technical guidance to customers and internal parties as required and may act in the capacity of as technical project manager in projects if needed.
Who You'll Work With 
The NCE will work closely with the Customer planning & operations team. Within Cisco , the NCE will work with Solutions Architect , other consulting engineers, product specialists, Project managers 
Who You Are 
You have a deep understanding of routing, switching and all IGP, EGP protocols especially in a service provider environment
You perform an analysis of highly complex network designs, and diagnosis and resolve networking integration problems
You create reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer deliverables
You leverage and contribute to Virtual Teams and create new ideas and approaches to solve specific customer or delivery problems
You provide/lead remote and onsite deployment support
You produce and present Customer-facing presentations & create high-quality technical documents as part of customer deliverables
You work with clients, Account Team, and Cisco cross-functional resources on the strategy and deployment of the solution
You produce architectural network designs for large-scale networks.
You assist the customer with the deployment of complex network services and related Network Management Systems.
You review network requirements, HLD, LLD, Implementation plans, Change Management & network migration plans.
You plan and execute complex network upgrades and migrations.
You facilitate design workshop.
You assure that major customer network problems across a broad range of technologies are properly and quickly resolved and act as a focal point for all network problem resolution.
Minimum Qualifications 
BE ( Computer Sc/ Electronics& Communication )
10+ years experience with routing and switching ( at least 5 years in SP environment)
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Desired Skills 
The NCE has demonstrated expertise in routing, switching & Core Cisco R & S platforms like Cisco 7600, ASR 9k, Nexus 7k/9k. Expertise on IOS/IOS-XR, NX-OS. Additional knowledge of security products/technologies like Firewall, IDS, etc will be helpful.
Scripting skills in Java, Perl etc & Platform/System OS skills Linux etc will be an added advantage.
