EY is looking for a motivated, result oriented and quality focused professional with strong project management and ,technical and analytical skills to drive and work on the IFRS 17 data management.
The candidate must have good experience of leading and managing data and analytics programs in Financial Risk domain with understanding of regulatory reporting solution.
Along with strong data management and reporting skills he needs to have good program management skills to manage all stakeholders and help achieve the program outcome.
Roles and Responsibilities
The position requires a person to work on global IFRS-17 engagements, with a base location at GDS (Bangalore). The role involves managing data solution .Knowledge on SAS stack is an additional bonus. The requirements are-
Manage all global external and internal stakeholders in delivering the outcome of the project. Should have the experience of status reporting and messaging to global leadership .Hence strong communication is a must.
Identifying key risks, escalating to right stakeholder at right time is critical. Should have the clarity of thought whom to escalate and what to escalate.
Collaborate with multiple competencies and team members to deliver engagements.
Mentor the team members in executing the right technical solution
Do the solution and technical deliverables (code, documents, test results) review of the team
Should be having the expertise in doing end to end data management solution design , with experience in ETL, Reporting/Visualization, Data modelling, Data quality, Metadata Management. Master Data Management etc.
Strong experience in project management with expertise in project planning, budget, estimation, people management, managing daily tasks, risks management and mitigation.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must have an engineering degree
Strong experience in data management solutions with expertise in information management and business intelligence/visualization. Have experience and exposure to different, BI, ETL,Modelling, DQ etc tools
12-15 years of experience on data and analytics , with 4+ years in project and program management with experience in leading large teams .
Knowledge in SAS stack is preferred .
Expertise on one Enterprise ETL tool(Informatica, BODS,SSIS,SAS DI etc)
Expertise on one reporting or visualization tools(Cognos,BO,Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau etc)
Experience on data modelling on LDM,CDM and PDM.
Expertise on major DBs(SQL,Oracle, Teradata)
Experience on Custom DQ or
Experience on SAS tools/solutions - infrastructure for risk management (IRM), SAS Business Rules manager (BRM), SAS risk and finance workbench (RFW), model implementation platform (MIP),SAI DI,SA VA etc will be an added advantage
Understanding and background on risk analytics implementation (solvency-II or Basel III or IFRS 4 or IFRS 9) is desirable
Good problem solving skills and an understanding of business dynamics (IFRS 17 regulations) or other regulatory reporting
Excellent communication skills and experience in report writing skills are desirable
Experience in project management tools like JIRA,Version one, Rally etc
Experience in Agile project management, Scrum, Sprints etc.
New reporting and regulatory requirements are driving changes that are significantly impacting the way insurers manage their business. The new financial reporting standard IFRS 17 will undoubtedly represent the most significant change to insurance accounting requirements in over 20 years. As EY is gearing up for implementing IFRS 17 standards for various Insurance clients, GDS need to augment this demand by creating a task force. In order to successfully manage the delivery GDS need to invest to enhance, establish & scale the existing competency.
