Qualification: • MBA

Experience: • 10+ Years in consumer goods sector with Demand Procurement leadership experience
• Prior branding experience preferred

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to manage and optimize demand (ATL & TTL; all costs except manpower cost & BTL), indirect spends and compressible cost base at USL. The objective of the role is to ensure efficient S&OP process operations and deliver optimum OTIF (on time in full), inventory levels and minimum cost by enhancing the warehousing and logistics network

Areas of Responsibility

1Procurement Excellence

 • Assess enterprise requirements from supply categories perspective proactively  
• Identify and resolve challenges in key materials sourcing through market making/shaping activities, long-term contracting, risk mitigation measures etc. 
• Develop and support the process of empanelling new vendors based on their capability, process orientation and infrastructure alongside the commercial consideration
• Oversee and streamline category supplies across media buying, professional & marketing services, TTL, Hospitality, Travel and IT
• Ensure spend management within specified budgeted costs as well as oversee implementation of cost containment strategies
• Customer satisfaction (Internal Functional Owners)
• Adherence to budget

2Implement Saving initiatives 

 • Evaluate the savings possibility areas and recommend savings strategy plan for the entire organisation
• Identify possible areas of cost reduction and resources adequacy
• Ensure reporting of monthly MIS spanning cost, availability and service metrics, cost variances & controllership, savings initiatives• Adherence to timelines
• Amount of savings


 • Take overall responsibility for identification of  training needs for department personnel and follow-up for induction/ training delivery through corporate HR
• Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
• Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles
• Ensure periodic follow-up with the recruitment team to fill the vacant positions with in stipulated time; in case of deviations escalate it to appropriate authority• Employee Engagement score
