The position will be responsible for managing and coordinating amended tax compliance, work on key client issues in amended federal, state and local taxation with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution management of client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, partake in the necessary standardized processes, anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate and follow performance-improvement solutions.
Your client responsibilities:
Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise,
Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns,
Delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe, Manage engagement economics,
Coordinate staff and assess their performance, Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices,
Research technical issues and present finding effectively,
Assist with indirect tax opportunities and work with and support teams,
Assisting with business development initiatives, contributing to winning new opportunity,
Dealing with technical enquiries as appropriate, consulting with senior manager when necessary,
Provide exceptional client services to the clients,
Work hand in hand with our tax and accounting professionals to help deliver our clients’ compliance and reporting need.
Technical skills requirements:
At least 6 year – 8 years of professional experience in state compliance and amended state compliance,
Proficiency in Microsoft office and thorough knowledge on tax applications (Corp tax, One Source and Go System etc.),
Certified EA or CPA professional.
Ability to communicate at all levels (internally & externally)
Excellent Client facing, relationship building and business development skills
Ability to interpret case laws and other reference material,
Monitors and upholds high quality of services and products to the clients,
Helping to advise clients on tax issues,
Ability to be proactive, identity opportunity and take early responsibility, Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.
