• Create governance reports and briefing notes for an executive level audience drawing on a wide range of contributors and balancing conflicts or differing views, Assist in the definition, execution and monitoring to transform the capability of the Architecture function, including implementation of new processes and adoption of new practices.

• Define a series of KPIs and KCIs to monitor the performance of architecture and the effectiveness of the control environment.

• Ensure that technologies strategies, (which includes architecture) is in place across business units, regions and domains, and monitor and measure its execution.

• Take ownership of projects, under the guidance of the Strategy and Transformation Lead, to define, develop or implement key aspects of the strategy and architecture.

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

· Identify and manage risks associated with Architecture Transformation.

· Identify and manage operational risks within directly managed teams, including risks related to talent and knowledge retention.

· Identify risks within relevant architecture areas, and ensure that these risks are assigned and managed.

· Provide data and insight to support the identification, tracking and resolution of architecture risks across the enterprise.


Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)


The jobholder will adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures.

The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.

The jobholder will implement measures to contain compliance risk across the business area. This will be achieved by liaising with Compliance department about business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.

· Budget control: This role may be responsible for its respective direct costs ($500k-$5M USD) dependent upon project and Transformation portfolio.

· Entity/functional management: This job does not have line management responsibility

· Relationships: CIOs, Heads of Architecture, Service Line Heads

· Strategic importance - High: Contributor and owns the development and implementation of global architecture strategy and standards.

· Regulatory & Risk – D – Manages risks identified through design proceses and governance mechanisms, communicates changes in Architecture policy & governance effectively.


Certifications, Qualifications & Experience (For the Job – not the Job holder. Minimum requirements of the Job)


· At least 2-5 years of experience in technology roles, with specific leadership expertise in executive decision making and executive reporting.
