Job Responsibilities
The ITSM Consultant is primarily responsible to work IT Advisory client consulting projects in India and abroad, defining, building, implementing, and executing one or more ITSM processes, and providing ongoing oversight to ensure these processes continue to meet business needs.
Operational
Assembling information to determine, document and agree customer requirements, conducting AS-IS assessment in line with applicable standards and frameworks, conducting Gap Analysis and producing recommendations
Defining, developing, and implementing policies, processes, and procedures aligned to ITIL best practices, leading standards, and frameworks
Developing templates, guidelines and other job aids to use the implemented policies, processes and procedures
Assessing and formulating tool requirements to execute the processes and ensuring that all the processes are institutionalized within customer environment
Conducting periodic compliance audits / assessments against defined processes and various quality models such as COBIT, ISO 20000, ISO 22301, and ISO 27000 series.
Reporting, ensuring and facilitating closure of all non-conformities by driving/initiating corrective actions within customer environment
Developing Metrics/KPIs and performing data collection related to the processes deployed, driving analysis and improvements based on recommendations
Contributing to internal best practices, processes and methodology documents pertaining to area of specialism.
Supporting the development and deployment of service management tools
Applying Service Process Management best-practices and methodologies in the development and implementation of IT Services
Applying ITIL principles to streamline business processes and optimize operational efficiencies and ensure services are performed within established service levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Analysing Client's business and user needs, priorities, document requirements, and make recommendations to Client Senior Leadership on how to apply best practices and methodologies to address priorities, policies, procedures, technical problems, and bottlenecks.
Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Certifications – ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000 LA/LI, ISO 27001 LA/LI, ISO 22301 LA/LI,
The role requires solid background in ITIL, ISO20000, COBIT, Information Security, ISO 27000 series and ISO 22301.
Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years relevant IT experience
Effective communication, facilitation and influencing skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills Strategic planning skills to determine business requirements, develop customer strategies and develop plans to achieve the business requirements identified.
Experience writing business and technical documentation and contributing to proposals
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
IT Service Management
IT Governance
Information Security
IT Operations Management
Service Delivery Management
ServiceNow/ITSM tools exposure
Behavioural Skills:
Strong communication skills with ability to interact with Management level
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize with minimal supervision
Multi-tasking skills
Team player with ability to work with cross functional teams
