Department Overview
Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Business Control Executive - Operational Risk Control Team is responsible for the management of operational risk activities across WIM lines of business (LOB).
OPERATIONAL RISK CONTROL TEAM is the WIM program owner for a variety of operational risk programs, it monitors progress of risk mitigation action plans, administers the operational risk platform, informs WIM executives and Corporate Risk leadership of risks, exposures and trends and manages processes and projects in accordance with the Operational Risk Functional Framework and applicable policies.

About Role
Responsible for leading a team of consultants and specialists responsible for performing self-assurance activities policy confirmation and reviews for Operational Risk Programs. Broader knowledge of key components / streams of Operational Risk, prior experience of designing the workflow and reporting stream will be preferred. Use subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to build process and deliverables around self-assurance activities in the business. Collaborating closely with US teams in day-to-day job execution and providing guidance to less experienced specialists/consultants. Will need to assist in the preparation of weekly status and monthly Confirmation metrics for dashboard reporting. Should possess good problem solving and decision making skills and be able to propose solution to the situation presented. Must have strong time management skills and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications

- Management graduate from reputed institute.

- 10 - 12 years of overall experience with 5- 8 years in the Operational Risk and Control domain.

- Ability and experience working in global delivery model. Should have demonstrated success in building a team and ability to lead team members with continuous coaching and development.

- Meaningful knowledge of the enterprise risk management framework, including: risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.

- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization, which includes leadership experience.

- Must have superior verbal communication skills and strong technical writing skills including the proven ability to clearly document activities, processes and test results.

- Prior Big4 experience in the area of Operational Risk is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
Operational Risk related certifications.
