As diagnostics lead, you will be part of the platform engineering team of client / graphics platform team. Part of this role, you will work closely with the architecture and design team to understand the next generation products and define the diagnostics framework accordingly. You are responsible for defining the diagnostics frame work and defining the validation strategy for next generation products and various interfaces. Will build the infrastructure that allows other engineers to quickly deploy, run and scale their software/diagnostics. You will be responsible for diagnostics development to validate the hardware and bring up the hardware first (Silicon power on and validation). Also you need to support various internal customers such as electrical validation team, compliance, manufacturing facility, etc. You will have to come up with strategy to ensure that the hardware is completely validated in all aspects before delivering to any internal and/or external customers. Responsible for sharing the lessons learnt, deep dives on platform / hardware findings, system level debugging, product and compliance level test coverage, etc. Will work with various stake holders such as electrical team (for electrical validation), compliance team, etc supporting their requirements.
- 8-15 years of experience in Diagnostics software development, BE/ME in Computer Science / Electronics engineering
- Good knowledge about hardware skills, processors, board design process, hardware testing
- Worked closely with hardware and electrical engineering teams in the development & debugging
- Experience in diagnostics framework & coding
- Experience with Linux OS
- Experience with device drivers, firmware
- Excellent C programming skills
- Excellent skills in debugging hardware issues
- Experience in Platform/firmware/Device driver development in C
- Experience in working with cross functional teams - architects, hardware, Silicon, fab vendors, etc
- Working experience in DDR memories, Processors, USB, PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.
