Scrum Master (Assistant VP)
Location: Pune
Grade: AVP
 
The overall purpose of this position is to provide project management support for Digital IT and design projects.  The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for leading Scrum Team(s) and to also manage a portfolio of projects. For projects following the Scrum methodology, the role is to provide daily support to their Scrum teams, ensure that sprints are defined and executed according to Scrum guidelines, guide team members to understand Agile methods and to be successful. This position requires the incumbent to coordinate and manage the efforts of team members and other resources across organizational units.

Your Role
o   Experience in Agile methodology tools for tracking user stories, sprints, velocity & burndown is required.

o   Experience with IT projects and the software development life cycle

o   Experience with Jira and confluence is a definite requirement

o   Experience delivering web and mobile application (Desirable)

 
Essential Skills
o   Excellent spoken and written communications skills are required.

o   Strong presentation skills required for both large and small audiences across the organization, and varying levels of management. 

o   Requires advanced writing skills in order to summarize and communicate project plans, reports, issues and risks (including contingency plans) to all levels of staff/management.

o   Requires high level of reading comprehension for understanding business requirements, technical documentation and department standards.

o   Ability to interact with all levels of staff across inter-departmental organizations and business partners is essential. 

o   Excellent interpersonal skills are required.

o   Must be able to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships while under pressure. 

o   Candidate must be motivating, encouraging and persuasive in order to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources.  

o   Must be able to diffuse tension among members of the project team, if necessary.  


 
Desirable Skills
o   Proficient listening skills are needed to understand and manage team issues and concerns. 

o   Candidate must strive for improvement through open dialogue and strong team building skills. 

o   Must possess the ability to identify and manage shifting priorities through analytical and problem solving skills.

o   Candidate must be able to work with both business and technical teams for problem resolution

o   Must be well organized and possess the ability to work independently as well as with team members while driving projects to successful implementation.

o   Strong knowledge of tiered large-system architectures is a plus.

o   Mid-level to advanced proficiency in MS Project & MS Excel required.
